Firefighter Diversity Recruitment Council

Formed by Firefighter’s ABCs, the Firefighter Diversity Recruitment Council is a nation-wide forum of fire organizations and their HR Recruitment Teams. The Council’s mission is to achieve levels of diversity that more closely reflect the diversity make-up of our served communities.

With membership of both large and small organizations, the Council’s mission is to support diversity throughout the Fire and EMS field.

A Special Message

We encourage all department heads to inform their staffs as well as those of city senior staff and other department employees when you join the “Council”.

Our populations are becoming increasingly diverse and continue to do so. So need to have the firefighters who represent communities that we are sworn to serve without regard to race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.
